JESUS WALKS ON WATER
JOHN 6:16-21
When an evening came, His disciples went down to the sea, got into the boat, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was already dark, and Jesus had still not come to them.
The sea was getting rough and rising high because a strong wind was blowing. Then, when they had rowed three or four miles [and were near the center of the sea], they saw Jesus walking on the sea and approaching the boat; and they were [terribly] frightened.
But Jesus said to them, “It is I; do not be afraid.” Then they willingly received Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.
MATTHEW 14:25-27
And in the fourth watch of the night (3:00-6:00 a.m.) Jesus came to them, walking on the sea.
When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out in fear.
But immediately Jesus spoke to them and said, “Take courage, it is I! Do not be afraid!”
